I joined SHRP about 1982. I became involved in SHRP because I feel that it is important to give back to the Community by sharing Human Resource experience, knowledge and professionalism with other HR professionals in the industry.

I have made so many wonderful strategic partnerships and friends with individuals from SHRP! I feel that the opportunity to network and develop these relationships with SHRP Board Members and individual SHRP members has enriched my life!

My professional background includes:

  • I formed CFE Consulting, Inc. in February 2000, and currently I am working as both a Human Resource Practitioner and Consultant for my clients.

  • Prior to starting my own company, I was a Practitioner in Human Resources for over 20 years and served as Senior Vice President & Regional HR Manager for Sedgwick of Illinois, Inc. a $1.5 billion dollar international firm, which provided services in Insurance Broking, Risk Insurance and Employee Benefit Consulting.

  • I have been actively involved in the Society of Human Resource Professionals for over 15 years where I served as President of the SHRP Board in 2002 and President in 1986.

  • I have recently formed the Past President's Forum to assist in the planning process for SHRP members to celebrate our 50-year Anniversary in 2004.

  • I am a current member of SHRM and also served as a Director of the Illinois State Council for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in 2000.

  • I majored in Psychology and attended Human Resource Certification classes at DePaul University.

  • I have my Producer's License in both Property & Casualty, and Life & Health Insurance.

  • In 1984-1988 I was in "Who's Who In the World/Who's Who of American Women."

  • Completed Team Leader Program - Year 1 - The Strategic Coach (2003)

  • Completed Team Leader Program - Year 2 - The Strategic Coach (2004)

  • 2004-2007 Current Board Member of The Women's Board of Directors for LaRabida Children's Hospital; Hyde Park, IL
