Chicago SHRM is the largest Chicago Chapter of the internationally recognized HR organization, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). We are not only the largest within the Chicagoland area, but Chicago SHRM is also among the largest SHRM chapters in the U.S. with over 1,000 members. Our charter is to enhance and support the development of human resource professionals in the Chicago metropolitan area by providing the most essential and comprehensive set of resources. We'd love to have you join and become an active member of our Chapter.
In 2004, the Society of Human Resource Professionals' celebrated 50 years of serving the members of Chicagoland with the theme, Respecting History, Creating the Future. Our theme paid tribute to our past while recognizing that through the sharing of our ideas and supporting each other, we can continue to advance the HR profession for the future.
Chicago SHRM joined the Society of Human Resource Management on October 5, 1954. Back then the association was named the American Society of Personnel Administrators. Chicago SHRM has had the wonderful opportunity to be around for a long time and is a strong professional organization because of its members. It is the community of human resource professionals who have come together for the past 50 years to collaborate and share with each other that has made this organization so successful. Chicago SHRM is here because of your continued involvement in this chapter!
