I joined SHRP in 2003 to become more involved in the local HR community and to have the opportunity to network with fellow HR professionals. I also found the monthly meeting topics interesting and helpful in keeping me up to date with the changing HR environment.
I have enjoyed my past involvement as Co-Chair of the Programs Committee and President-Elect. I am looking forward to an exciting year as President. I think that our monthly program and events are a huge benefit to our members. The Programs and Education Committees definitely try to target membership needs and provide interesting topics relating to current HR issues.
I hope that members of SHRP will have the opportunity to attend the monthly events and network with fellow HR professionals in the Chicagoland Area. We have wonderful members that are a tremendous resource. We are always looking for more volunteers to get involved and support our HR success!
