I became a member of SHRP in 2003 to learn more about the HR Community and some of the obstacles they face. Although I’ve worked with the HR professionals and business owners since 1995, the obstacles they face are ever changing; and therefore, I thought being a member of SHRP would allow me to keep informed of the industry. I also wanted to contribute what I learned from my experiences with my clients to other members of SHRP.

I currently advise corporations in effective ways to design their employee and executive benefit packages through the use of insurance and/or investments. I also advise individuals and families helping them through the financial management maze. I received my insurance licenses in 1995 and my securities licenses in 1997. I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1993 with a BS in Health Administration and Business.

I would like members to experience being part of an organization that produces results for the HR Community. In addition, I believe it is important for everyone to participate in the programs that are offered so they can not only enrich their professional development, but also share their experiences and successes so that others may benefit. As the late President John F. Kennedy said in his inaugural speech on January 20, 1961, “…ask not what your country can do for you-ask what you can do for your country…”
